Holy Toledo! What A Great Field Trip
This was the biggest piece I wrote during my summer internship with Lexington Family Magazine. Lexington Family Magazine reaches a highly targeted market of parents, educators, grandparents and other caregivers, delivering to 72,000 loyal readers. Throughout this internship, I am mastering how to use Photoshop and InDesign, interview sources/clients on the phone, and report/write stories. I will also work with marketing staff to help promote the magazine. This piece focused on the greatest field trips I took during elementary school and the importance of learning outside of the classroom.

I am currently pursuing a journalism degree at the University of Kentucky. I completed a fantastic internship with Lexington Family Magazine and have written for Mour Fashion Magazine in Lexington. When I am not writing, I am working at Figleaf Boutique as a sales associate/team leader. I have had great retail experience where I have been promoted to a Sales Lead at each job. With my related journalism experience and work experience, I am determined to find a great job after graduation.
